Cosmetic Modeling
The main priority of makeup models is to wear, apply, and market cosmetic products for various makeup companies. Big names in the makeup industry come to mind when referring to make up models such as Maybelline, Covergirl, Sephora, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics, Revlon, Rimmel, and Urban Decay to name a few. Makeup models do not have to have perfect skin since the purpose of makeup is to effectively transform and make one's face more attractive and beautiful. Before and after shots are often used to capture the effectiveness of different products. However, that does not mean that a makeup model can ignore their health needs. Makeup models should eat healthily, drink enough water, and take care of their skin, hair, nails, and their face by sticking with a good skincare routine. Also, bear in mind that makeup models must be comfortable with headshots as the primary focus of the consumer will be on the model’s face to see the makeup. Makeup models must be strong at modeling with their eyes, facial features, and knowing how to use their expressions and emotions to connect with the camera or audience.
