I worked a booth educating about electric vehicle incentives and technology at trade shows, auto shows, markets, and festivals for about 2.5 years for a state program run by a non-profit. I was essentially a brand ambassador. I was quick to connect with event guests as they walked by, and I was thorough and clear in explaining our program details. In this role I also gave many public presentations, classroom-style and on-stage, and I engaged with car dealerships for about 2 years, one-on-one and providing informational sessions to groups. Overall I spent 3.5 years in this role (2016-2019; event and dealership outreach overlapped). I spoke to over 6,000 people and visited dealerships over 400 times. I absolutely love connecting with people. I can sense when people are paying attention and adjust my engagement accordingly, I don't tire from repeating the same content for hours on end to a large volume of people, and I adapt quickly to tough or unexpected situations.
