Beginning life in an Ecuadorian orphanage, I met my adoptive parents at the age of 2 and moved to Wisconsin 6 months later. The trajectory of my future was drastically altered. My compassion for people and commitment to education continues to open doors to opportunities that may never have presented themselves had I lived in Ecuador.
